Comfort was always the first and foremost design goal of Rozik. It was “let’s make it comfortable” and everything else came second.
One day, sitting at my desk, I realized that every 30 minutes or so I was squirming and adjusting myself as my trousers worked their way up. Sure, these slim cut trousers looked great and while standing they were perfectly comfortable. Seated was an entirely different story. There is no reason I shouldn’t be able to sit comfortably in a pair of slim cut trousers.
So what’s the fix? After some research and looking into other trousers, specifically athletic bottoms like football pants, cycling and tri shorts, I noticed they all had an extra panel in the crotch to allow for better movement and comfort. So I started thinking about how to incorporate that into a casual trouser. That’s where the idea for the gusset crotch was born.
After I figured that out, the rest kind of fell into place. I knew I wanted the trousers to have a clean look, but I also wanted them to be functional. I wanted trousers that would take me from my bike, to the boardroom, to the bar after work. I also added some specific functional elements like the SafeSwitch, and tabs to keep rolled legs in place. I wanted every piece of our clothing to feature superior fit and styling, premium-quality fabric, and built-in functionality and I felt the only way to do that was to make sure we used local suppliers and manufacturers, so I worked with a local seamstress on the designs and found a local manufacturer. As a result, every piece we sell is proudly made in America.
I want Rozik to be known for it’s supremely comfortable fit, but more than that, I want it to be known for giving back to the community. We strive to support local charities where we can, and if you’d like to know more about how we can work with your favorite charity, click here.
